Amazing cakes. Tasty coffee. Didnt eat the cooked meals but they looked delightful! Definitely pop in if you are about! Vegan / gluten free options as well if you require. Fancy!
I like the style of the Grocer cafes. The coffee, food and service are good. The reason I've knocked a star off is that you only get small coffees for a relatively expensive price.
Wow. Excellent food! I especially recommend the chocolate fudge cake (vegan). Super yummy.
Chaotic and expensive. When this was the Grocer at 91, this was a wonderful place. Unfortunately, since going vegetarian, all my favourite menu items have disappeared and with them has gone any sense of organisation or value. The restaurant was packed this (Friday) lunchtime - mostly by ladies with toddlers and babies. It seemed that everyone in the restaurant was complaining about some aspect of the food. We all (including us) had the wrong dishes delivered and customers were queuing up to complain about how slow the service was. The two of us had a salad, a breakfast and two smoothies. The meal was nice (though not as good as per vegetarian days) but at 31 I thought it was vastly over priced. Also the serving area was buzzing with flies which made me wonder about cleanliness. A shame really, but Id recommend giving it a wide berth until the service and value issues have been fixed.
This used to be one of our favorite cafes, but today the service was so bad it is now not worth the drive. The food is still good, but after signing in and waiting patiently, a couple cut in front of us in the queue. Rather than asking the couple to move, the hostess apologized and said it was not possible to ask a customer to move, despite them inadvertently cutting in front of my family. Very disappointing service and customer loyalty under new management....
